Faith in Action for Children

Interfaith Prayer With Children In the Wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic

22 April 2020

Festival for children and young people and public Vigil

During the day children and young people from UNICEF's Rights Respecting Schools will lead workshops and take part in entertainment and creative activities on the Festival theme: "Hitting children is wrong and the law should say so".

The event will conclude with a visit from the Lord Mayor of Cardiff and the High Sheriff of Glamorgan who will attend a Multi-Faith Candlelight Vigil, co-led by young people and dedicated to banning physical punishment of children. During the Vigil children and young people will deliver their own messages on the Festival theme.

'Sidim Curo Plant!/ Children Are Unbeatable!' Cymru seeks the prohibition of all physical punishment of children in Wales, together with support for positive parenting.

You are warmly invited to join us at the Urdd Centre and to take part in the Candlelight Vigil.

Attendance is by invitation. To reserve a place please contact Lian
