On Universal Children's Day, Shanti Ashram collaborated with Balashanti to conduct a workshop on positive parenting, at the Shanti Ashram Seminar Hall. 145 people participated in the program, 100 of these being parents.

Arigatou International Nairobi and The Cry of a Young One gathered over 250 children to celebrate WDPAC and address poverty as a form of violence against children. The children danced, performed drama pieces and a youth fashion show.
