Activities for the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children with support from the UNICEF country office of Swaziland.
Activity Recap
In Swaziland, activities built on UNICEF’s ongoing work with religious communities to address violence against children. Consultations took place with each faith group to review progress made since November 2010; a national conference was organized at which representatives from faith groups and other partners (Parliament, government ministries, NGOs) shared lessons learnt, innovations and priorities for 2012; and a festival that featured popular artists publicized the commitments made by the different groups.
