DPAC activities in Iran implemented witin UNICEF support in coordination with the National Body on the Convention on the Rights of the Child

In Iran, in coordination with the National Body on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (comprised by 16+ government and non-governmental organizations), Friday Prayers focused on prevention of violence against children. A conference on addressing violence against children (especially within religious communities), in which the Minister of Justice and main religious leaders participated, was also organized together with government agencies, religious leaders, scholars and civil society organizations.

In addition messages addressing the issue of violence against children were shared by Friday prayer leaders during the Friday prayers of 24 November as well as mass prayer leaders in mosques in various locations of the country.
