Who Celebrates the World Day?
Reaching Around the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children
The junior high students at Our Lady Queen of Peace School in House Springs, MO have been preparing for WORLD day of Prayer and Action for Children by making posters, homemade stickers for the entire school to wear on this day, bracelets that will help the students to remember longer than just one day to pray for all children around the world and oragami collection bowls that will be given to the students to take home to collect their loose change that will be donated to Catholic Charities to help the children and their families affected by Hurricane Sandy. They also have asked each grade level to wear clothing that is a different color of the rainbow to school on Nov. 20th. This way our school will be a living rainbow on this day. They are also organizing three times throughout the school day for the student body to gather for prayer. By coordinating and participating in the World Day of Prayer and Action they are reaching around the world through prayer and action to make a positive difference in the lives of children they have never met.
