Collaborators
With over 84% of the world’s population identifying with a religion or faith tradition, Prayer and Action for Children recognizes the influence and moral authority that faith and spiritual leaders hold in their communities. Their engagement and voice can promote change in cultural and social attitudes and behavior to improve the situation and status of all children in their communities. Therefore, Prayer and Action views religious leaders as extremely important allies in helping to end violence against children in their communities, with the capacity to also reach those who are most vulnerable, marginalized and neglected.
Prayer and Action for Children promotes interfaith action and advocacy, convenes diverse groups of faith leaders, faith communities, and organizations working for children’s rights and well-being. It encourages multifaith exchanges and capacity building to protect children from violence and ensure their rights. While the World Day is the catalyst for action, Prayer and Action works with GNRC members and other collaborators throughout the year on a wide range of activities that aim to end all violence against children.
