A Parent’s Prayer

“When I raise my hand to my children may it never be in anger; but to comfort, care and caress. When I raise my voice to my children, may it never be in rage; but to praise, encourage and appreciate. When I raise my eyes at my children, may it never be mockery or scorn; but with laughter, enjoyment and fun. When I raise my heart in prayer to you, may I come as a parent, who treats my children as you treat yours; with love, justice and respect.”
