ROAD TO 2014 DPAC0

The Second Ecumenical and Interreligious Forum with the theme “action to end violence against the children of Ecuador” was held on Friday, October 24, 2014, in the auditorium of the Pontifical Mission Societies.

Attending were about 80 people representing 12 organizations, educational institutions and churches, religious leaders, parents’ committees, authorities and young student representatives from each of the member organizations.

SPEAKERS:
1. CENTRO DE APOYO INTEGRAL TRES MANUELAS (Integrated Support Center The Three Manuelas)
2. COMPINA
3. IGLESIA ANABAPTISTA MENONITA (Anabaptist Mennonite Church)
4. VISIÓN MUNDIAL (World Vision)
5. PROGRAMA SALESIANO CHICOS DE LA CALLE

Each of the speakers spoke of their views and actions in favor of children, adolescents and youth; all expressed the joy of knowing that there are other organizations continuously fighting for the rights of children. They see the need now to strengthen ties of friendship and joint action to end violence against the children of our country.

We ended with a commitment to actively participate in the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children to be held on November 22, 2014 in the Municipality of Quito’s City Hall.
