Strengthening the Child Protection System in Argentina

Nearly 140 children and youth, and 80 adults participated in the informational workshop, that had the aim of identifying situations that required coordinated approaches and interventions between the state and civil society, such as the magnitude of school dropouts or the complexity of adolescents in conflict with the law.

In attendance were the Committee for the Defense of Health, Ethics and Human Rights (CODESEDH), Dr. Julian Dominquez (President of the Chamber of Deputies – Congress), and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Adolfo Perez Esquivel.

During the afternoon, a workshop on the topic of drug prevention organized for young boys and girls of El Pilar counted with the participation of specialists from the National Program for Education and Prevention of Addiction and Drug Abuse (a program of the Ministry of Education). The event ended with an interfaith prayer.
