World Day Observance in St. Vincent

In St. Vincent and the Grenadines, religious leaders dedicated their regular religious services to talking about the importance of the care and protection of children. Several 15-minute live radio interviews on the Day of Prayer and Action for Children were recorded on two of St. Vincent’s most popular radio stations – National Broadcasting Corporation and Star Broadcasting Corporation. A Week of activities with the theme “End Violence against Children” was planned by the National Mobilisation, Social Development, Youth and Sports. The activities included Television programmes with children talking about abuse, visits to schools and a Rally on Violence against Children involving 450 pre-school, primary and secondary school students. This was held on November 18.
