UNICEF Zimbabwe Planned Activities with Religious Communities

The main launch of the Day of Prayer and Action for Children in Zimbabwe will take place on Friday November 19 during a three hour advocacy for prayer session involving religious leaders, government, civil society, international donor community, children, young people, the media, traditional leaders, and UN agencies. Regular Friday Prayer and Church Services from November 19-21 will be used to promote maternal and child health, with a focus on exclusive breastfeeding.  This will serve as an opportunity to share key messages, mobilise media, families, communities and religious leaders to promote, protect and respect exclusive breastfeeding.
