World Day Activities in South Sudan
In South Sudan, the Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare joined representatives from the Council of Churches, Muslim Supreme Council and UNICEF on the radio on 20 November to discuss how to protect children from violence. All other mass media were also mobilized to generate discussion on violence against children on that day. Religious leaders around the country celebrated the Day of Prayer and Action for Children and distributed a leaflet and brochure on how different sections of society can help prevent this violence.
South Sudan-The Supreme Council of Imams of South Sudan and the Sudan Council of Churches urged the government, community leaders and all citizens to protect children.
