World Day Observance in Angola

In Angola, UNICEF in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and a group of key churches used the celebration of the Day of Prayer and Action for Children Initiative to put forward key messages both on birth registration and positive parenting. Churches and media worked hand-in-hand to create awareness on both issues at family and community levels. The activities included an event organized in collaboration with the Methodist University with broad media coverage; a radio debate with speakers from different religious denominations in RNA (Angola National Radio); reading of messages from the pulpit on birth registration and positive parenting in key churches; a UNICEF Representative statement shared through Facebook; and a brief video of the event.
