Activity Recap

Report from UNICEF:

In Sri Lanka, on the 20 November, religious leaders, community leaders and young people came together to renew their commitment to end all forms of violence against children at a Day of Prayer and Action for Children event organized by Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement, a national non-governmental organization. At the event, awareness was raised about the importance of preventing violence against children and the role that religious/faith communities can play. At an interactive session with children, facilitated by UNICEF, the negative effects of corporal punishment as a form of discipline were discussed.
